Derek McCormick joins Douglas W. Crim, PLC

Derek has worked in the field of occupational safety in health for nearly 20 years in the manufacturing and trucking industries. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University, where he returned to teach Occupational Safety and Health in 2015. Derek received his law degree from Western Michigan University - Cooley Law School in 2013, while working full time as a Safety Manager.

Before joining the Firm, Derek developed his own law practice while working as a Professor at GVSU. He has counseled and defended several organizations with MIOSHA citations, in addition to helping develop sustainable improvements to avoid future safety incidents. We are excited to have Derek on our team; his combination of occupational safety and health management and legal experience will be a benefit for the clients of Douglas W. Crim, PLC.
